BCUSP 140 All things...crows!!
This course focuses on the roosting American Crows that inhabit the UWB campus, and my students learned about the natural history of this species, and a the many ways that crows and their relatives have been connected with humans. I trained my students in doing extensive literature research on the topics, and they also work on creative projects that include fantastic pieces of ceramics, sculpture, painting, video production, music, poetry, and children’s books among others. My students’ engagement motivates me to work on creative pieces myself.

Another engaging class activity was the publication of a blog in which students wrote about their learning on different topics (can see blog here) and the production of coffee table books with pictures that students and me take along the quarter. At the end of the quarter students present their work to the entire community
